Paderne is a small village, part of the Albufeira council, Faro district, with a small population of around 5000 people, located north of Albuefeira town and Olhos d’ Agua, between Bouliqueime and Tunes.

It is one of the oldest villages of Albufeira and is represented by its rural characteristics. Its main attraction points are the Paderne castle (built in the XIII century), the Algibre and Quarteira riversides, the Paderne well and the dams and many historical points that are definitely worth visiting. Paderne also has 3 official walking routes for the public to enjoy the history and culture of the place as well as the nature and country side.
