According to a survey released last week by the English language newspaper The Portugal News, quality of life is the most attractive element about Portugal.

The survey, with more than 1,100 respondents, sought people’s views on living, visiting and working in Portugal as part of The Portugal News online survey.

Just over half of the respondents were aged between 41 and 65 years old and 57% were British, however a broad range of nationalities got involved with the survey including North Americans, Portuguese, Dutch and Swedish. 47% were retired and 19% self-employed with a further 11
