The story of this property begins with a quaint Douro Valley Quinta built in the 18th century. The property was once home to the Dona Antónia Adelaide Ferreira, a pioneering businesswoman who is famed for her contributions to port cultivation and wine innovations. In 2005, the Quinta first opened to guests with 5 suites. In 2012, Architect Francisco Vieira de Campos gave form to an additional contemporary building housing a further 8 suites. Today, this Douro Valley retreat offers 13 beautiful suites and enchanting spaces both inside and out for sociable pastimes and, of course, drinking wine!

Suites in the 18th Century building combine traditional Portuguese décor and modern comforts while the modern building suites are decidedly contemporary with clean, sleek lines and a private balcony.

All bedrooms enjoy independent access through the garden.
