Boliqueime is a lovely little town, part of the Loule district. It is located 10 minutes drive from Vilamoura inland to the West. Easy accessible by the National Road 125 or the highway A22. The town’s name comes from the word “bulicame” which means “thermal spring” and the origin of this town is closely connected to the Genovese, Venetians and Sicilians who used to travel in the 13th, 14th and 15th centuries to this place, for the tuna and whale fishing.
Boliquieme is a popular and sought after location not only for the locals, but also for holiday home owners or expats who want to be close to all amenities, but at the same time have more space, land, peace and privacy that a country side offers.
