Beautiful Downtown Aliados Studio

This building of great historical value, it was designed by renowned architects Rogério de Azevedo and Baltazar de Castro. It was built in 1930 as the headquarters of the old O Comércio do Porto newspaper.

A gorgeous building combining the influences of Art Deco and Expressionism, it is marked by vertical pillars spanning the building’s entire facade and eight grandiose female figures overlooking the avenue. The circular entryway greets visitors in a hall decorated with marble and imposing ironwork doors. Inside there is a magnificently coloured stained glass window, encircled in iron that meets your eyes with delight and pleasure.

As you leave the elevator on the rooftop, a stone turret which, much like a lighthouse, creates an imposing presence over the entire avenue and accentuates the building’s majestic appearance.
