Unique Opportunity - Successful Restaurant On Faro Island

A unique opportunity to own an already successful restaurant on Faro Island. Ideally located, frontline, on the quiet part of the island, with stunning views overlooking the beautiful Ria Formosa Nature Reserve.

The traditional Portuguese establishment is 60 years old and one of the oldest restaurants in Faro. Boasting stunning views, as it sits on the lagoon side of the island, over the Ria Formosa. The beach is only 1 minute walk across the road.

The restaurant has huge potential for considerable and profitable expansion or refurbishment. Whether it be as a restaurant or a stunning beach front property, to use as a rental income.

Within the building, the dining area seats up to 86 people with a large bar and display refridgerators, to show off the fresh fish, seafood and other produce. There is a large industrial, fully fitted and equipped kitchen, and of course, his and hers guest bathroom facilities. Attached is an existing apartment, with 2 bedrooms, a living room and a full bathroom.

There is large covered terrace, seating another 40 people, with a front garden just steps away from the lagoon with breath-taking views. Adjacent to this is a seperate large BBQ and kitchen area, plus numerous storage rooms.

FARO ISLAND

The Praia de Faro is the best beach in the Faro region and is easily accessible from the city.

The glorious soft golden sands of the beach extend for 5km, along the entire sea facing side of the Ilha de Faro (Faro Island), while the rear of the island overlooks the lagoons and tidal flats of the Ria Formosa national park. It is hard to believe that this laid-back resort town is less than 5 minutes from Faro airport, and that is still almost a secret.

The Ilha de Faro is connected to the mainland via a single road bridge, and this central area is the most developed section of the beach, with bars, restaurants and low rise hotels. There is a road which follows the beach in both directions and is lined with Portuguese holiday homes and smaller beach bars, that eventually leads to deserted beaches at either end of the Ilha de Faro.

The Praia de Faro has a relaxed and easy-going atmosphere, and is unique when compared to the rest of the hectic Algarve. Faro Island can make for an enjoyable and alternative beach based holiday destination. To the north-eastern side of Ilha de Faro is the Ria Formosa Natural Park, a large protected area of salt water lagoons and mudflats, which are important feeding grounds for migratory birds and habitats for specialist marine life. During low tide it is common to see Portuguese fishermen wading through these mudflats hunting for Clams, Mussels, Oysters and other shell fish.

The sea waters are clean, and the waves are strong enough for surfing, the beach is suitable for families as well, as during the summer season the popular sections of the beach are supervised by life guards.

The main activities on the Praia de Faro are simply relaxing, topping up the tan, or chilling out in one of the beach bars. For the more active visitors, there is a surf school which provides lessons and hires surf boards, kayaks and stand-up paddle boards.
