As you move away from the town centre, you have quite a few beaches: Praia Grande and Praia do Pintadinho and a bit further you will discover the beautiful Praia dos Caneiros. From the point beside Ferragudo lighthouse, there is a fantastic view of Portimão across the river, the Monchique hills in the background and the sea stretching into the distance. If you love golf then this is the place for you as there are 2 great golf courses nearby: Vale da Pinta and Gramacho. Also, the future Ferragudo golf course will be neighbouring the property so there will be a 3rd golf course to play on. If you like to play tennis, then Carvoeiro Clube de Ténis is conveniently positioned between Ferragudo and Carvoeiro. The historic town of Silves with its Moorish castle is also close by and really is worth a look.
