Tavira Tavira is a beautiful Portuguese city, full of winding and narrow streets with remains of bridges, castles, and churches. A fantastic location, with beautiful island beaches, and a multitude of restaurants, cafes an shops to choose from. An excellent choice for somebody who wishes to purchase a property that has life about it all year around without being too busy, but also has fantastic rental potential.

Beaches  Tavira coastline is calm and peaceful, with an extremely inviting eleven kilometers of fine white sand beaches and very warm water. The beaches are crossed by Ria Formosa Natural Reserve, offering pleasant boat trips. Tavira Island (Portuguese: Ilha de Tavira) is found South of the city and can only be reached by boat, which departs from the city center and from Quatro-Aguas.It's considered to be one of the best beaches in the Algarve Region. The Praia do Barril offers more than just a great beach.. On the edge of the beach was once a small fishing village which specialised in the fishing of tuna. This village was abandoned due to depleting fish stocks but the boat houses have been restored into beach bars and shops.
