Portugal's Algarve Fair a Success for Local Businesses

Local businesses took up stands at the International Algarve Fair with hopes of finding new customers and making much needed sales.

Those that attended consider it time well spent as a lot of interest was shown in most of the products. Pedro Serrão is the General Manager of World Telecom, which is an extension of the Portugal News Group. He went to the fair in search of sign-ups for telephone packages and reported an enormous amount of interest from fair visitors."We gained more new clients than at any previous Fair as well as speaking to many potential clients about our products," Serrão said. He also noted that he had the opportunity to interact with other businesses at the fair which turned out to be a successful networking opportunity.

Nuno Pina also took a stand at the fair on behalf of Pina Garden Centre. He commented that the event "exceeded his expectations." He exhibited some of his plants at the Fair and found many interested customers coming around to enjoy them. "It was a good experience and I will be returning as an exhibitor," Pina said.

Another happy Fair participant was Claudia Charnock with Good Life Spas. She noted that her two days at the fair were quite successful. "We have loads of orders and have possibly sold three spas. Many people also got to know about the company and our products which was great," Charnock said, "We will definitely return next year."

The Manager of the Fair, Sónia Seixas, joined in the fun and commented that this year "was overall a resounding success." She had one final note to add: "Many business owners spoke to me at the end of the two day event to book their stands for next year already." It sounds like the success will continue on to 2012.
